I don't know if you ever notice while you listen to a song, that a large majority of them tell stories. Some keep you more intrigued than others. Some even have an excellent story line, but a lot of times they are much longer. When I listen to the following songs, I actually visualize the story line, and on top of them being such a great listen, they keep you from switching the song. I've chosen to write about this today, because I feel like there are so many tunes with good stories, lyrics and meanings, but there are a lot of people who fail to see it, or understand the songs for their meaning.
The first song is Deathbed - Relient K. This song is 9 minutes and 50 seconds long, but its worth the time and appreciation. It tells the story of a mans life, and at the end of the song, a different voice starts singing, who is actually Jon Foreman of Switchfoot as Jesus, and its such a symbolic moment and such an incredible song. I would highly suggest to listen to the entire song, because you will without a doubt fall in love.
Second, is Quiet in my town - Civil Twilight. Now I feel as though this song is very emotional, because as much as there is a lack of detail in what is happening, you really comprehend emotion and imagery from what you're listening too. Again this is a lengthy song 7:17, but its worth every second of it.
Anyways, those two songs amount to the lenght of about 4, so I think that's good. I hope you grasp the story aspect of these two amazing songs, and continue to use imagery as you listen to new or old music!
For now I say, PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!
Chels!
